About me, about korealm
I’m kosail.
That’s not my real name, you know. But a pseudonym I’ve been using online for a while and that deeply resonate with me. It comes from the name of my favorite fiction character of all times: 琥珀 (kohaku, from Tsukihime), and the title of a song from Aimer, called Sailing (“Sailing miles away 誰のため?”).
I’m from Honduras, and though I’m honestly not completely proud of my motherland situation, it is still my motherland. I am part of it, and it is part of me. Even though I no longer live there, my heart will likely resonate with it for most of my life.
I’ve always been a little too curious about computers (got into all this because I wanted to install a custom rom in my no-brand Android phone back in 2013. If you wonder, yeah, using Android Kitchen on Ubuntu 13.10 I managed to brick my phone. Successfully failed task). This blog is where I want to keep the things that come out of that curiosity, things I learn, things I build, things I break, and the occasional rabbit hole that gets way too deep.
I often forget things in software development and then I feel no capable, imposter syndrome. I decided to take my notes up to the world, online. Mainly in English, sometimes in Spanish. Japanese for special occasions.
There isn’t much of a plan here. I just like making things and understanding how they work. I love linux, open source software and the JVM (I think it is an engineering masterpiece).
That’s pretty much it.
